Quiet Spot at Bobbie's in Islamorada

If you've ever been to Robbie's of Islamorada, then you know how "active" that place is.  Between the marina, kids feeding tarpon, dodging pelicans, folks eating at the fabulous restaurant and so many great little shops, this lady was able to just read a book.  Must have been a really good one!  Well, I'm glad she did - made for a great composition.

First I did my value study, then I painted the shadows in cool colors and then the light.  After that, I started adding in more local colors and details.  This was a fun one!

Hi Kathleen!
I met you many years ago at the Delray Affair
and was so impressed with your boldness in
witnessing. Subsequently I
learned of your prison ministry.

What could be better...using your gifts for the
Kingdom of God.

I was in Marshall's the other day and saw one
of your joyful tropical landscapes with a bible
address as usual.

Thank you!

Carolyn
